Smith and Smith Attorneys
Smith & Smith Attorneys was established in 2003 in Sydney. The principal, Richard Smith, had been a barrister 18 years prior to that with extensive experience in Court litigation. He knows and understands the requirements of legal proceedings in the Local, District and Supreme Courts having appeared in all three jurisdictions during his time at the bar, including appearances in the Court of Appeal.
In late 2005 Richard and his wife, Roslyn Capell, also a solicitor, moved to the area, having purchased a small rural property some years previously. The firm was established at Lismore and commenced operations in early 2006.
The foremost aim of Smith & Smith Attorneys is to assist clients with facilitation and resolution of their legal requirements as expeditiously as possible and cost effectively. In appropriate matters the firm can consult with other practitioners so that a client’s requirements can be given the best possible consideration.
The firm also advises other legal practices and independent clients with respect to legal costs, Richard Smith having formally been a Supreme Court appointed Costs Assessor. He and Roslyn Capell both have extensive experience and knowledge in this aspect of their work. Roslyn works primarily as a costs consultant.
Smith and Smith Attorneys can also see clients in Coolangatta, for which an appointment is necessary.
